"Such a calm studio and an inviting space. Steph knows everyone by name and tailors the workout to whatever you turned up with that day."Group reformer client · Google
A small reformer studio on Torres Crescent. Steph has been teaching Stott Pilates since 2010, and she runs every class herself. The room is calmer than you'd think.
Steph Pereira trained as a Stott Pilates instructor in 2010, under Instructor Trainer Denise Chalwell. She taught at international hotels and private studios before settling in North Lakes and founding Pilates North in August 2020.
Pilates North is a family operation. Steph runs the pilates side. Her husband Gino runs Balance BJJ from the same address. One studio, two disciplines, one couple at the door.
"Change happens through movement. Movement heals."
Every class is taught by Steph personally. She places new clients herself, learns names and bodies quickly, and keeps numbers small enough to actually correct form.
The address is shared with Balance BJJ, the family's combat sports gym next door. That sounds like a contradiction. In practice it's the quietest, best lit, most secure pilates studio in North Lakes, with parking that's easier than any high street boutique.
Pilates North runs as its own studio inside the building. Separate room, separate floor, separate energy. Clients tell us it's calmer than they expected and we lean into that.
Steph and Gino have run the building together since 2020. You won't get passed between staff or rotated through instructors. It's Steph teaching, every class.
Free off street parking on the complex. Walk straight in, no metres, no queues for a spot. It sounds small. It isn't, especially with a baby seat or a sore back.
Class sizes are capped low. Steph runs the cues for the room rather than reading off a script, which is the whole reason clients call the workout tailored.
The core class. Reformer based, capped numbers, full Stott Pilates programming. Steph adjusts the workout to the bodies in the room.
One on one with Steph. Built for rehab, post injury return, or anyone who wants form fixed before joining the group room.
Two clients, one instructor, one hour. The format for friends, couples or anyone who wants more attention than a group can give.
A first session with Steph to learn the equipment, set goals, and decide whether group or private fits you better. New clients only.
For clients coming back after injury, surgery, or a long break. Private format. Slow, steady, measured progress.
Class packs, weekly memberships, and casual drop ins. Pricing and the live timetable both run through the ClubWorx booking link.

"I came in for the pilates and didn't realise the BJJ gym was attached. It's actually quieter than my last studio, and the parking is unbeatable."New client · Google
